Chef Daniele Catalani and Schneider’s of Capital Hill cordially invite you to join them on a Food and Wine Tour to the peaceful countryside of Tuscany.

Wake up to endless views of the rolling countryside at the lovely Locanda le Piazze. This centuries old farmhouse has been converted into an elegant country inn that is nestled in olive groves and vineyards, between Siena and Florence. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you relax in the gardens or lounge by the fireplace in the Ralph Lauren interior decorated rooms. On a hot summer day you can just stroll down to the swimming pool for a refreshing dip. Each day you will discover the comfort of Italian country estate living at its finest!
Program:
Indulge in all that Tuscany has to offer! We will be visiting local vineyards and tasting some of the finest wines of the Chianti region. Chef Daniele will prepare a gourmet meal and then later in the week will teach you how to bring a little bit of Tuscany into your own kitchen. We will also tour the jewels of Renaissance Italy – Florence and the towns of Siena and San Gimignano.
Cost:
$8,500 per couple including airfare.
If you prefer to buy your own ticket the fare will be deducted.

Visit to local vineyard Castillo Vichiamaggio
Tour and wine tasting with owner and winemaker Cristina Nocentini
Lunch at the vineyard
Trip to the city of Florence
Day 5
Visit the Barone Ricasoli Castle
Tour and wine tasting followed by lunch at the Castle
Evening cooking class and dinner with Chef Daniele Catalani
Day 6
Visit to the Aglieta vineyard
Tasting with Patrizia Aglieta, owner and winemaker of Brunello di Montalcino
Lunch at the vineyard
Trip and tour of the medieval town of San Gimignano
Farewell cooking class and dinner with Chef Daniele Catalani

Depart for return to U.S.
